⚠️ Data Handling Notice

Dance of Tal is under active development. We may collect, analyze, and aggregate usage data and published Asset content for purposes of improving the Service. Registry data — including published Assets, user statistics, and metadata — may be modified or deleted without prior notice for operational, technical, or quality-improvement purposes.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in via GitHub OAuth, we receive your public profile information including username, email address, and profile avatar URL. We store this to identify your account and protect your registry namespace.

Published Content (Registry)

Any Assets (Tals, Dances, Performers, Acts) you publish to the registry are publicly accessible. Do not include secrets, credentials, API keys, or personal information in your published Assets. We may analyze published content for quality assessment, content moderation, and Service improvement.

CLI Usage Data

When you use the DOT CLI (dance-of-tal) or the MCP server:

  • Asset download requests are sent to our registry API, which records download counts.
  • The CLI does not access, read, or transmit your source code, project files, or any local filesystem contents beyond the .dance-of-tal/ workspace directory.
  • No telemetry data or usage analytics are collected from the CLI beyond download counts.

Studio Usage Data

DOT Studio (dot-studio) runs entirely on your local machine:

  • Your AI conversations, prompts, and project data stay local and are processed through OpenCode as configured in your environment.
  • Studio connects to the DOT registry only to browse and install Assets.
  • We do not collect, store, or have access to your API keys, model configurations, or AI conversation contents.
  • Studio workspace stage data is stored locally on your filesystem.

Social & Usage Data (Website)

We collect interaction data such as package stars, follows, and comments to provide social features. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic insights on the website.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service across all components
  • To authenticate your identity and protect your namespace
  • To display your published packages and public profile
  • To enable social features (stars, follows, comments)
  • To record and display download statistics
  • To analyze registry content for quality assessment and content moderation
  • To improve the recommendation and search algorithms
  • To communicate important service updates

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored using the following infrastructure:

  • Supabase (PostgreSQL) — User accounts, social data (stars, follows, comments), and module metadata
  • Cloudflare Workers KV — Package content, payloads, and download counts
  • Vercel — Web application hosting and analytics

All services use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Data retention practices may evolve as the infrastructure matures.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Vercel) solely for the purpose of operating the Service. Published Assets are publicly accessible by design.

5. Data Collection & Deletion

We reserve the right to:

  • Collect and analyze published Asset content and metadata for Service improvement
  • Aggregate usage patterns and statistics for feature development
  • Delete, modify, or reset registry data (including published Assets, user statistics, and metadata) without prior notice for operational or technical reasons
  • Migrate data to new infrastructure, which may result in temporary data unavailability

We recommend maintaining local backups of any Assets you publish.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication session management (Supabase auth tokens) and language preference. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and download your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Unpublish your Assets from the registry
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

To exercise these rights, contact us at monarchjuno@gmail.com.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the Service or email.

10. Related Policies

This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Service.
